About me
Like many women, I spent my twenties and thirties focused on building my career. But when I decided to start a family, things didn’t unfold as expected. What followed was a long and often overwhelming journey—one that took a toll on both my physical and emotional health. Through that experience, I learned just how complex and deeply connected our bodies, hormones, and wellbeing really are. It shaped the way I work today—with empathy, curiosity, and a personalised approach to nutrition and care.
my mission
To help women improve their health and wellbeing—whether navigating everyday life, hormonal changes, or fertility—through personalised nutrition delivered with compassion and expertise.
Beyond conventional medicine
Getting the right support felt like an uphill battle. Often, the most valuable guidance came from other women going through similar experiences, not from healthcare professionals. That frustration became a turning point. I left a 16-year career in publishing and tech to retrain in clinical nutrition. I completed executive education at Harvard Medical School, became a certified Nutrition Coach (RSPH), and began an MSc in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Aberdeen to become an AfN Registered Nutritionist.
A personalised approach
Today, as a nutritionist, I work with women to restore balance and take control of their health with whole-food, sustainable nutrition. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans. My approach is empathetic and evidence-led, with an emphasis on unprocessed, nutrient-dense foods that support long-term wellbeing—through fertility, perimenopause and menopause, and everyday health.
That’s why I created Elia Nutrition—named after the Greek word for olive, a symbol of nourishment and healing. Like the olive and its oil, I believe food is powerful medicine when used with intention.
